Again strong male cast with great actors and her performance brings their work down. This could have been so much better with an actress who could actually act.
Terrorists making devastating weapons of mass destruction, but don&#39;t want to kill people even after setting the devices, so why do it, was your journey necessary.<br/><br/>Cleric who deliberately sabotages his own terrorist&#39;s plots, what&#39;s the point of plotting.<br/><br/>Strong female characters, unable to do any wrong, worrying about security failures, which of course cannot be their fault.<br/><br/>That just leaves a CIA splinter group to be the brutal baddies and take all the hits.<br/><br/>Point about political propaganda is that is supposed to be subtle and if Hollywood is getting this desperate, they must think they are failing to get their PC message across, as if shouting even louder will work.<br/><br/>Otherwise, the movie is well made and nicely shot, with some gritty London scenes, but why ruin it by mindless preaching.
I suppose this went down easily enough for me because I grew up with this kind of stuff, and can surrender to it as a kind of cinematic comfort food. But still. For those not so inclined, the entertainment value could conceivably be derived from the brisk, no-nonsense direction by Michael Apted, and the talents of what they used to call “an all-star cast”.
